  • The Republic of the Bacon street. One of the districts in Riga (called the suburb of Latgale / “Latgales priekšpilsēta”) has developed of its own republic (from the historical processes), with its own peculiar appearance, unconstrained environment and with the interaction of different cultures. In the Maskavas forštate (part from the “suburb of Latgale” district) is a small street, that has been named “Bacon street” – bacon is very relevant for Latvian people. It is so short, that there aren’t buildings on it. It is almost like virtual reality and, probably, caries inwardly some special – mythological – key, which the authors of the installation has implemented in their works, which are distributed in “Latgales priekšpilsēta” district, int. al. Bacon street locality. The installations of the project: “For everybody, who has sacrificed their own time for the possession of the virtual reality” (Aigars Bikše); “The Empire”(Ginters Krumholcs), “Here’s no security cameras”(Kristaps Gulbis), “The Buda of the suburb”(Kirils Panteļējevs), “Stop-frame”(Elīna Poikāne).

  • „Les Reflets” (“Reflections”). Exposition in Jūrmala’s city space. 31. 05. – 15.09. 2007. “Les Reflets” intervenes in the Jūrmala surroundings in a seemingly innocent manner, presenting large – scale photographs that remind of the common style of visual ads, inviting a slightly ironic, provoking or simply funny conversation about the human body and related popular views and prejudices. Three experienced French artists (Lionel Scoccimaro, Natacha Leseur) created conceptualised series of human images, consistently using photographic means. French artists protest against contemporary Western lucky men’s care-worn foreheads, using more or less charming and frivolous jokes.
  • E(Š)AN(Ž)E- Creative workshop started in autumn 2005 when five Latvian artists – Izolde Cēsiniece, Ēriks Božis, Aigars Bikše, Kristaps Gulbis and Gints Gabrāns left for France visiting the ancient towns of Rennes and Lorient in Brittany where they lived and worked together with five French artists – Nelly Massera, Samuel Boche, Boris Jakobek, Stephane Tesson and Gilles Le Nain. The first step of the creative workshop took place during the Latvian culture season – the festival “étonnante Lettonie” (“Suprising Latvia”). Its success gave an impulse to continue the project. In summer 2007 these French artists arrived in Latvia to work together with already familiar Latvians, creatively transforming the harsh environment of the Karosta district in Liepāja. So, the satellite project “E(š)an(ž)E” of the reciprocal event “Un Printemps Français” (“French Spring”) was completed in Karosta, leaving some quite particular examples of French creative spirit in the local space of visual culture.
